This scorecard was produced by the Lagos State Accountability Mechanism for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (LASAM), in October, 2017, with support from MamaYe-Evidence for Action.
The scorecard tracks key maternal and perinatal death indicators in all the secondary health facilities in Lagos state from January to June, 2017, this facilitates the review and analysis of findings for strengthening of the response system.
The scorecard indicates that the Lagos state Ministry of Health is doing tremendously well to reduce maternal and perinatal deaths, however, LASAM ask the Ministry of Health to ensure that all facility MPDSR committees develop and implement action plans based on review findings to improve maternal and perinatal survival.
