The scorecard is a true reflection of Maternal and Newborn Health indices in Bauchi state from July to December, 2017
The Data used for the scorecard was extracted from DHIS2, submitted from the public primary and secondary healthcare facilities. The scorecard was produced by the Bauchi State Accountability Mechanism for Maternal and Newborn Health (BaSAM) in October, 2017 with support from MamaYe- Evidence for Action
Based on the scorecard indicators- BaSAM is asking the Bauchi State Ministry of Health to:
• Conduct regular public sensitization on the importance of child spacing
• Identify ways to enforce the guidelines that require private facilities to submit their MNCH data on time and in full into the DHIS
• Ensure reliable, regular and adequate supply of partograph charts to all health facilities.
