Ondo State MNCH Scorecard January-December 2015
This scorecard was produced by Ondo State Accountability Mechanism for Maternal Newborn and Child Health (ODAMM). The scorecard shows progress in key maternal and newborn health indicators across the 18 local government area (LGA) in the State. The scorecard was produced using data from the monthly Nigeria Health Management Information System (HMIS) for the period of January – December. Data indicate good progress in the prevention of neonatal tetanus and improvement in antenatal and postnatal care. However, the scorecard indicates a need to increase:
- coverage of malaria intermitent preventive therapy for pregnant women
- coverage of anti-retroviral therapy for HIV- positive pregnant women
- uptake of modern contraception among women of reproductive age
- number of pregnant women who report early for antenatal care services
