1. Mrs Stella Obuji Peters is awarded for displaying a high sense of professionalism during her provisional engagement into the Midwives Service Scheme in Miga Local Government Area of Jigawa State. She carried out a household survey on the low turnout of clients to the health facility and organised a town hall meeting on "Male involvement in MNCH". 2. Dr Omonowo Abubakar Eneyire is awarded for demonstrating leadership qualities in the provision and management of health care services in different, especially senior capacities, in Jigawa State. 3. Dauda Mohammad Hadejia is a seasoned journalist in Jigawa State who has informed and shaped the focus of his numerous radio show listeners. Dauda hosts three different health radio shows to help his listeners make life-saving health decisions. 4. The award goes to Sundimina Local Health Committee. The Committee, amongst other achievements, helped in the rehabilitation of health facilities in the community and ensured that pregnant women no longer needed the services of traditional birth attendants. The committee also collaborated with other groups to provide a borehole, arrange emergency transport service and procure a generator for alternative electricity supply in the community health centre. 5. Muhammad Sani Sale is an assistant Chief Imam and a seasoned Islamic scholar holding a Senior Arabic and Islamic Certificate, a Diploma in Education and a Nigerian Certificate in Education.
