Our take on the issue
Gender discrimination is one of the root causes of poor Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (MNCH). E4A aims at challenging discriminatory social norms putting women and girls at the centre of our advocacy work.
Women and girls have great insights to identify the challenges in accessing health services and are key to the design of solutions that work for them. They are directly involved in the gender analysis of the context and they are supported in speaking out about their needs.
Within the E4A coalitions, women and girls are supported to become advocates for their own health and to hold Governments accountable to their commitments to promote gender equality.
