The MamaYe! Africa Collective launched its strategic plan at an Options co-hosted an event with the Nigeria National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) and UHC Forum on 15 August 2024 in Abuja. The event gathered stakeholders from the Nigerian health sector to discuss how to harness multi-stakeholder approaches to strengthening primary health care delivery and accountability in Nigeria to accelerate progress towards universal health coverage and improve maternal and newborn health outcomes in the country.

The strategic plan will guide and shape the contribution of the Collective in improving access to quality health services by women, girls and children in Africa through partnership and movement building. It was developed through a participatory process where achievements, challenges, lessons learned from E4A MamaYe, and future opportunities for the MamaYe! Africa Collective were assessed to inform the priorities in the next three years.

Speakers were joined 300 participants, both in-person and virtually.
