This scorecard was produced by Bauchi State Accountability Mechanism for Maternal Newborn and Child Health (BaSAM). The scorecard shows progress in key maternal and newborn health indicators in the State. The scorecards were produced Bauchi District Health Information 2 Software (DHIS-2) for the periods of January – June and July – December 2015. Based on the data in the scorecard, BaSAM calls on: State Governor and CabinetEnsure judicious utilization of allocated resources for improved health of your citizens, adopt a health facility and provide 2 hour supervision at least once in every month. Executive Secretary Bauchi State Agency for the Control of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Leprosy and MalariaEnsure availability of antimalarial drugs at health facilities for pregnant women 24hours/7 days a week. Policy MakersOrganise periodic town hall meetings to address constituents’ concerns around seeking healthcare services, especially pregnant women who should go for antenatal care and be delivered of their pregnancies with skilled birth attendants in the health facilities. Ward Development Committees, Community Based OrganisationsOrganise periodic town hall meetings with community members and health providers in your wards to address factors militating quality of healthcare services for pregnant women.
