Evidence for Action IJGO Series 2: Quality of Care
The International Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics (IJGO) has published a second series of articles by the Evidence for Action (E4A) programme.
Evidence for Action is a programme initially funded by the UK Government’s Department for International Development. It aims to improve maternal and neonatal health outcomes in six African countries (Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Tanzania).
The four articles in this series focus on different views and evidence on quality of care for mothers and newborns.
Articles in the second series of the IJGO include:
- A revised framework of quality of care and its application in northern Nigeria.
- A review of the literature from sub-Saharan Africa on the effects of supportive supervision on quality of care.
- An examination of improving quality of care through a better healthcare workforce.
- A geographical presentation of emergency care for mothers and newborns in Ghana.
